FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

Q: Can I use these sprites in my own project(s)?
A: Everything that I have on display is free to use so long as the people involved are given the credit where it is due as opposed to just lumping the credentials for it all under my project alone. I have links to the credits page posted in these descriptions for a reason.

Q: Do you take commission work?
A: As it currently stands I don't have the proper knowledge for doing that sort of thing. I don't really have any sort of Patreon, Paypal or Ko-fi to transfer money over to, let alone knowledge on how to even work those kind of things. So to all of the people privately asking me if I'd be up to doing commission work it's going to be a gigantic no for the time being.

Q: Will you be tackling beta content?
A: I have no such plans to include unused Pokémon in this project as the intent was & always has been to display what has made it into the games, anime & manga. If you want to see beta designs I highly suggest going over to someone like RobertoVile for that as you are not going to find it here.

Q: Is this Pokémon going to be added to the project at some point?
A: Please do not ask me if or when x form of Pokémon is getting added! The priority of NDVD is focused on what is mostly seen in the main series competitively (with GO & the Orre games being thrown into the mix). That means some forms aren't being focused on by artists regardless of how relevant they are; the mere existence of the Misc Dex is niche enough as is. This is why at the time I am typing this, the boxes that display the ride forms of Koraidon & Miraidon have no battle sprites in them as while they do have existing form code in things like Home & SV, they do not serve any battle purpose & therefore aren't given priority when it comes to having sprites done of them; let alone in the DS artstyle. The Starmobiles are actually in a similar boat to the ride forms as they are coded in SV as something the player has to fight. However the reason why they appear in the Misc dex instead is explained here.

This answer also applies for whenever a new generation is on the horizon & the Pokémon that have been shown off in brief screenshots & gameplay footage have little to go off of for a design; such examples of this being when Gimmighoul & the Varoom line were teased with little to go off of for what they looked like outside the brief clips we had seen of them. Until they get revealed officially; whether it be in game footage or other forms of media leading up to the launch of a new game with a clear image of what they look like, I will be omitting their inclusion. Lastly these sprites take time to make & priority for some comes before the rest; as it currently stands I'm just about the only person on the internet currently doing both battle sprites & menu sprites for the event costumes from Pokémon GO & such a task has been a big undertaking. Please have patience whenever I plan to include stuff & don't complain when when I exclude stuff. It's my project at the end of the day so only decide what gets in or not. No amount of how much you would wish to see these being added to the project is going to make their inclusion go by faster.

Q: Are there plans to do this with backsprites/overworld sprites.
A: Simple answer, no. This project is monotonous enough with just front sprites, icons & item sprites. I don't see myself adding on anymore than what's already on display here.

(If you've already answered this, let me know later :))

I have a question, are you going to do the same thing but with Pokémon overworlds?
